The stroller is equipped with a combined system of movement consisting of the main, additional wheels and caterpillars. It automatically determines the beginning and end of the ladder or other obstacle and can adjust its “step” to within 20 cm in height with a maximum slope of 35 degrees. Ascending the stairs, Topchair-S moves backwards, and downwards – as usual, while the passenger takes his usual position.
The stroller is controlled with the joystick and LCD screen. The power unit consists of two 60A batteries, which allows it to run from 35 to 45 km at a speed of about 9 km / h, thanks to two 350-watt electric motors.
Depending on the user’s needs, additional options are provided – chin position control, seat accessories for various positions of hands and feet, and a set of LED lighting. The cost of Topchair-S is about 16,320 dollars.
