Plasmalogens are directly involved in the organization of protective processes in the brain, they are produced in the liver and through the bloodstream enter the neurons. The study describes statistical data for 1500 patients with a clearly expressed Alzheimer’s disease, suspected cognitive impairment and is absolutely healthy. Everywhere there was a direct correlation between the concentration of plasmalogens in the blood and the severity of the deviation, and the scientists also observed the development of this situation.
The liver is known to be an organ-laborer, which grows old with age. And a decrease in the concentration of plasmalogens worsens the protection of the brain, increases the risks of the disease.
